四天王寺は御朱印巡りの人気スポットでもあり、訪れる参拝者にとって心に残る記念となる素敵な御朱印が授与されています。

5-1. 御朱印の種類と特徴
四天王寺では、いくつかの種類の御朱印をいただくことができます。主なものを紹介します。

Name of the GoshuinFeatures
Goshuin of the principal image, Kannon Bodhisattva.This is the most common goshuin you can receive when visiting the central temple complex. It features the characters for “Kannon of Salvation” and the Shitennoji Temple seal.
Shotokutaishi GoshuinA special goshuin based on the worship of Shotokutaishi. It can be obtained after visiting the Taishido (Shotokutaishi Hall).
Rokujido Temple GoshuinThis is a Goshuin related to the Rokujido Hall, where the Rokujiraisan Buddhist service is held. It has deep ties to Buddhist rituals.
Shitennoji Temple’s complete GoshuinThis type of stamp, called a “Goshuin,” represents the entire temple grounds and can sometimes be obtained by visiting multiple worship spots within the temple grounds.

Furthermore, the design combines powerful ink calligraphy and a vermilion seal, creating a simple yet dignified atmosphere.

5-2. How to Obtain a Goshuin and Etiquette
Since a Goshuin is received as “proof of worship,” it is important to observe basic etiquette.

【Goshuin Procedure】

  1. First, always pray at the designated temple or shrine.
  2. Politely request a Goshuin at the Goshuin reception (Nokyosho).
  3. Do not hand over your Goshuin book directly; place it on the reception counter.
  4. Pay the offering fee (usually 300-500 yen). Having small change ready will make the process smoother.
  5. After receiving the Goshuin, bow with gratitude.

【Points to Note】
・Goshuin are not a “stamp rally.” Receive them after a sincere visit.

・Sometimes, they are pre-written (written on a sheet of paper), so a clear file for carrying it home is convenient.

Shitennoji Temple also offers limited-edition goshuin that are only available during special events.
・Limited-edition goshuin for the anniversary of Shotokutaishi’s death (April): A limited-edition design commemorating Shotokutaishi’s death anniversary (April 22nd).

・Limited-edition goshuin for Obon and Mantō Kuyō: Distributed with a special design during the summer Mantō Kuyō (lantern festival).

・Limited-edition goshuin for the year-end and New Year: Auspicious goshuin imbued with prayers for the new year are also popular.
